Dan Rather interviews Nate Silver. Obviously it's mostly about FiveThirtyEight.com, but there's a healthy bit about his work with PECOTA and Baseball Prospectus too. Only hiccup, which may be bad news for Obama given what FiveThirtyEight is projecting right now: Nate ends the September interview by picking the Cubs to win the World Series.
Between Brokaw doing the debate last night and the Rather-Silver thing, I almost expect to see Peter Jennings interviewing Sarah Palin this evening.
Man, wouldn't THAT be creepy.

Silver was also on the Colbert Report last night. He did not pick the Cubs.
You know what's creepy? As I'm reading, Colbert's introducing Nate Silver.
Minnesota Braves, Colbert? I got quite a laugh from Silver's overall demeanor/response to Colbert's joke.
On a side note, Craig, as the season is approaching its end, I was wondering--how will ShysterBall operate during the offseason?
God, I love baseball. And ShysterBall. What am I going to do during torts class? I hit the refresh button at least 10 times, hoping for just one update. Not to put any pressure on you Craig...
Arun -- during the offseason it's business as usual. Note today: no ballgames on the schedule, but 12 posts. I keep rollin'.
Less flippantly, look back in the archives from last winter and you'll see how things work around here.
The Flyers decided to do some "ultimate hockey mom" contest to decide who gets to drop the ceremonial opening puck Saturday night. I'm sure you can guess who won . . . .
