Great Moments in Atonement

Here is this year's playoff schedule. For those of you who are interested in such things -- and based on Google searches that find last year's entry on the subject, many are -- note that there is not a game in the Brewers-Phillies series on the evening of October 8th or the day of October 9th. This is important because that's Yom Kippur, and thus Ryan Braun won't have to answer a bunch of questions as to whether he's going to sit out.

According to this, though, it appears that the NLCS will begin on October 9th, but my guess is that it's gonna start after sundown, so if the Brewers are fortunate enough to get that far, they should have their left fielder as long as his currently-unknown level of religious devotion doesn't preclude plane travel.

Yeah it's funny, but Braun doesn't observe any Jewish holidays.

You gotta kind of include Youkilis in this too.... though from what I know he's not much of a "gotta be observant Jewish" guy.
