The Angels are getting into the act now, which ups the list of teams interested in Miguel Cabrera to, oh, about 71.
According to the article, Cabrera can expect something like $15M in arbitration this year and $19M next year. Given the current market, those are exceedingly reasonable prices for the production Cabrera can be expected to provide. Heck, even if a team was simply willing to take him for the next two years and worry not about trying to sign him to an extension, the bang they would get for the bucks they would pay would be quite attractive.
For their part, the Marlins are looking for young players with high ceilings. You know, guys like Miguel Cabrera.
