"So's your mom!"

I always tell my clients never to type anything -- anything -- in an email that they wouldn't want to see blown up onto a 4'x6' poster board, placed on an easel, and shown to a jury. I think maybe somebody should have told that to Carlos Delgado's agent. Of course in this case the jury doesn't have 12 people on it, it has millions.

That is just awesome. And particularly perplexing since Delgado seems like a relatively smart, thoughtful guy.

When did Delgado hire Bill Conlin to be his agent?

Classic, Jason. Too effing funny.

I'd say Delgado is perplexing, and based on his selection of agent, not terribly smart or thoughtful.

Yeah, well, I don't think the "journalist" did such a wonderful job "journalizing" either. Oh, professions in this country, oh oh oh

I like that "so's your mom" isn't even really a putdown in that little piece of dialogue. The agent is saying that his mom is funny. Albeit sarcastically. But really, that's not all that insulting, is it? My mom is very funny, but even if someone was being sarcastic when they told me she was, I wouldn't get upset about it.

I think he should have gone the George Costanza route with his insult and said something like "oh yeah, well I had sex with your wife." That would have been much more effective.
