Others Can Play Favorites Too

Inspired by my effort, Jeff Snider over at Rantings & Ramblings has complied his own "Playing Favorites" list. I like many of his choices. Telling, though, that he had to go back 70 years to find a Yankee . . .

Craig, the fact that he had to go back 70 years to find a Yankee isn't really telling at all when you read what he wrote. I mean, picking Lou Gehrig is hardly an insult. Also, he picked A-Rod as his favorite Mariner and one of his three favorite *active* players, and last I checked A-Rod was still a Yankee! Are you trying to create controversy where none exists> Are you shooting for a full-time writing gig for the NY Post? Gasp!

Thanks for the shout-out, Craig. And yeah, I have liked plenty of Yankees over the years, although a lot of them were like A-Rod and Steve Sax (guys I liked long before they went to the Yankees -- and, coincidentally, both of them had to give up their #3 when they went to the Yanks). But yeah, I am one of those West Coast Bias fans who doesn't care a whole lot about the Yankees/Red Sox war, although for me that rivalry antipathy is manifest in my liking both teams.
