Glavine's home is an impressive 14,550 square feet and done in an elaborate style that includes columns, curved staircases, large crystal chandeliers and tall windows adorned with elaborately swagged curtains. Oh I could go on about the curtains but the Real Estalker summed it up by calling them "some of the ugliest swagged curtains Your Mama has ever seen." And they aren't just in the living room and the dining room, the Glavine's curtain craze has made it into the bedrooms and bathrooms as well. And fans of every other team except the Braves shouldn't worry. Tommy isn't leaving Atlanta, thereby making it more likely that your team may try to catch Moyerish lightning in a bottle with him next season. According to the article, Mr. and Mrs. Glavine are just moving up the street.

Wanna Buy Tom Glavine's House?
Because it's for sale. You may want to redecorate, though:

Since her grew up near here in Billerica, I can't say I'm surprised to learn a little about his taste in decor.
Oh, and Shyster gets a million bonus points for posting a shot from "Went With the Wind." And another million for knowing about it.
At the risk of trafficking in gender sterotypes, I'm going to go out on a limb here anr guess that Mrs. Glavine was busy choosing those drapes while Tommy was out winning Game Six of the 1995 World Series. Or at least I hope so.
As for the pic: I used to worship at the alter of Carol Burnett reruns. Not sure what that says about me, but I'm not going to deny it.
I'll be even more generous: with 14,500 square feet to have to decorate, some of it's bound to be awful, just due to the law of averages. Right? I mean, eventually you're going to run out of nice things to buy.
And I'm with you on Carol Burnett: every day after school, sitting in front of the TV and laughing my ass off.
I saw it in the window and I couldn't resist.
Zing! The Winner!
I'm sure Glavine's home is filled with the tortured souls of Mets fans circa 2007. I know this because my soul is among the many he crushed.

I certainly feel better about my son's "must see" movie list including "Moonstruck."
You sayin' it's something less than manly to dig the Carol Burnett show?
