But there is one disturbing takeaway from the article:
Bud Selig was born to be a friend. That's why they called him Bud in the first place. When school teacher Marie Selig brought Allan Huber home from the hospital, the first thing she said to her older son Jerry was this: "We brought you a little buddy."That's disturbing, because my son Carlo is usually called "Buddy" in my house for much the same reason. Lately we've made it a tad more elaborate -- I call him "Buddrow," mostly because it makes his mother laugh -- but I've never considered that he might actually wind up being known as Carlo A. "Bud" Calcaterra, one day because of it.
Parents: be careful out there.

Is that a picture of your son, or of Bud Selig?
Well, neither of them have the sense to come in out of the rain, so does it make a difference?
Before your hair left ( I assume you formerly had hair ) was it the same color as Buddrow's?
Actually, no. His is much lighter -- kind of a dirty blonde, really -- than mine. I was a straight redhead until I was about 10, after which it turned far more brown, with red you could only see in direct sunshine. Then of course it all fell out in my mid-to-late 20s. Damn genetics.
My daughter has the same hair color as I do/did. My wife's hair is dark brown. If I'm in a good mood, I tell people that my son got his hair color from the men in my wife's family, many of whom had that blonde Northern Italian thing going on. If I'm in a bad mood, I suggest that it may have been the mailman.
Heh-heh..."and now, batting for St. Louis, Shbubby Kniffen!"
Carlo is a sweet name.
Thanks. He's a sweet kid. He's named after my wife's father, who passed away a few months before he was born.
