I really couldn't care less about Olympic baseball, but these two results from today's action are notable:
China 8, Taiwan 7: This is a shocker. If it helps the Taiwanese, however, history suggests that all of the Chinese baseball players are actually 13.
Cuba 5, United States 4: This is less of a shocker. If it helps the Americans, however, history suggests that all of the Cuban baseball players are actually 38.

Yeah, but it's not a fair contest. As soon as Taiwan started showing that they could resist the Chinese team, China sailed a few warships within view of right field to remind the Taiwanese that China still considers Taiwan a rebel province.
