Fake Fans

Apparently there have been a lot of empty seats at Olympic events -- particularly the decidedly unpopular baseball games -- embarrassing IOC and Chinese officials into getting factory workers and other fake fans to fill seats.

On the bright side, the Florida Marlins just got a fabulous idea.

They canceled baseball for 2012, and apparently, the low attendance at games isn't going to help.

APBA Guy-

Lots of empty seats for women's beach volleyball also, which is very hard to understand. I think the Olympic hosts need many decades of exposure to our TV and rock n roll.

WTF? Did anyone else read this entire article and see the plan for breaking ties in the 11th inning? With that kind of hare-brained scheming I'm not surprised the IOC is booting baseball.
