The book is dotted with nearly 100 of her photographs, including some taken at a game center in Tokyo's Kabukicho entertainment district, in the living room of Johnny's New York apartment and at Tokyo Dome during a Yomiuri Giants game. That Johnny, a punk rocker with a bowl haircut and leather biker's jacket, was a die-hard, radio-in-the-ear baseball fan may be a surprise for some readers.
I don't know that it was any more of a surprise than finding out that Johnny was a hardcore conservative, that Joey had a thing for Maria Bartiromo, or that "Blitzkrieg Bop" was inspired by the Bay City Rollers, but it's cool to know all the same.
