I'll be deep in the cold, cold ground before I recognize Missourah!

It's all been said by now -- and here's a very entertaining recap of what everyone has said -- so no point in adding much of anything else. Bonds is the home run champ. You can give that as much or as little weight as you want, but that's what the record book says.

To those who choose not to recognize or appreciate Bonds' accomplishments, however, I simply ask that you (a) make an effort to appreciate the fact that even if Bonds has received a boost by performance enhancing drugs, his skill and accomplishments would have landed him in the Hall of Fame without them; and (b) make an effort to be consistent in your outrage when other superstars from this era -- ones that, unlike Bonds, you lauded and appreciated prior to learning about their drug use -- are found to have used performance enhancing drugs, as they inevitably will.
