There was a lot of talk a week or two ago -- some supplied by me -- that ever since his career ended Chuck Knoblauch has become some bitter old service-evading hermit. Now that I see the picture to the right -- taken as Knoblauch left his closed-door testimony on Capitol Hill today --I'm inclined to think that's exactly backwards.Guy played baseball for twelve years and never once looked that happy.
it's funny. maybe he's just the rare case of an athlete who is 100% OK with leaving the game and resuming a quiet, peaceful personal life away from the game and cameras.
