They've built a 1/64 size model of Forbes Field at the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh, complete with little spectators inside:Science center officials say the ballpark model will be 1/64th the size of the original ball park. The recreated park features a crowd made from 23,000 cotton-tipped swabs and an animated batter that swings.
It must be a representation of dime-a-dog day or something, because not once in the history of Forbes field did the Pirates ever average 23,000 fans a game for a whole season. Even in 1960 they only drew a little over 22,000.
