I didn't read it as Jose making an apology but as a descriptor of his character and that sums it up pretty well for me.Mark Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08422034768135948388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9131289420618991795.post-47776450580419313182008-10-20T13:43:00.000-04:002008-10-20T13:43:00.000-04:00With Jose it seems to all be about the motives. If it had actually been Jose's intent to provide useful information and save baseball from the scourge of steroids, yes, he'd probably still be proud of it. Jose, however, was likely only trying to make a buck off of it. He did for a bit, and then it soured, and then he made some more bad decisions and now he's broke, so all he has left is the name-naming, which he probably wasn't all that hot on in the first place.Craig Calcaterrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00190345915954808542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9131289420618991795.post-73309860341778695972008-10-20T13:08:00.000-04:002008-10-20T13:08:00.000-04:00Isn't Juiced really the only thing left that Canse...Isn't Juiced really the only thing left that Canseco is at least a little bit respected for? Yeah, he was criticized for "naming names," but the book helped spawn a large investigation and provided some useful information. I have no idea how much of it is truth, but it contributed to the Mitchell Report. And yet this is what Canseco is embarrassed about? I don't get it.Danielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16264246154526243474noreply@blogger.com
